I feel like the COVID pandemic allowed/forced Dave to really think through and seriously polish his ideas. The songs here all feel so complete, sophisticated, and fully realized--moreso than the previous Manna / Mirage releases. While I've been loving these releases since 2015s Blue Dogs, this is the one I will be listening to the most ten years down the road. GREAT collaborations from all guests and great compositions/ideas from the playful brain of Dave Newhouse. Well done!

I'm always sceptical if a legendary band returns after a giant hiatus. Well, no need to worry here! Pioneer Daniel Denis, who composed all tracks on this album, hasn't lost a milligram of his creative power. So high-quality intelligent avantgarde is still possible nowadays.

This album perfectly emulates what would happen if Zippy the Pinhead wrote the musical score for the cartoon "Horton Hears a Who"...accompanied by various members of the Discordian Society. Of course...long-time fans of NWW will fap over these tracks...these tracks (and the previous vol.1 album) are heavily sought after among the dedicated. I have to say...both as a Fan and High Priest of Discordia...I give it 5 thumbs up!

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis.
